Amy J. Galatis
Amy is a shareholder at McCarthy Bouley Barry + Morgan, P.C. and a highly experienced trial attorney specializing in complex litigation. She dedicated sixteen years to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, culminating in her last seven years as a member of the Homicide Unit. During this time, Amy expertly managed numerous high-profile murder cases, demonstrating exceptional legal acumen, courtroom advocacy, sensitivity, and outstanding organizational abilities. Throughout her public service career, she successfully tried over 80 cases to verdict.
Amy joined the firm in 2019 and has focused her practice on representing medical providers, corporations, and large hospitals/medical centers. She has extensive experience in defending against a wide range of medical malpractice claims, including cases involving failure or delay in diagnosis, wrongful death, and incorrect site or side procedures. In addition, Amy represents clients in premises liability, licensing board and other government agency investigations, general liability claims, and criminal defense matters.
